      Abstract:

Based on the shallow geothermal resources and climate characteristics of Shaanxi Province, this study selects three typical cities, Xi’an, Yulin and Hanzhong, in different climate zones of Shaanxi Province as representative cities, and carries out the hourly load analysis for three types of buildings, namely office, commercial and residential buildings, which are common in civil buildings. Starting from the characteristics of building load, this paper determines the configuration of HVAC solutions and compares the economics of the solutions, so as to analyse the appropriate solutions for the use of shallow geothermal energy in different building types for different climate zones. This will provide a reference for actual project design and also for the use of shallow geothermal energy in other regions of China.
